engulf me in leather and crystals

happy 3rd birthday my blog!

three whole years! holy shit! other than my marriage and my education that's quite the commitment HA!

so the traditional gifts for this anniversary are leather or crystal depending on your inclinations to tradition. but i say fuck tradition so i'm going to give your eyes a gift by giving you some sneaky peaks at some new work :D

some are finished things some are detail of larger things and i guess there will be proper posts about them in future, but i know how we like to have things now so here you are lovelies!

came upon...

well seeming it was just halloween and we are entering the winter of our discontent just thought i'd post a series of photos to fit the mood...

"came upon" was created back in 2002. i've never really realised the work. originally displayed in genuine police evidence bags on a small scale, but finally edited them down earlier this year creating this series.

the basics behind the work is the death of innocence. the futility of virtue. giving in to the banality of existence.

it happens to everyone eventually. some too young and obviously and with others it sneaks upon you. but eventually it will always happen like death and taxes as they say....
